2017 is shaping up to be a year of big changes in the individual health insurance market in NY. Based on numerous recent articles, not only are insurers nationally requesting large premium increases compared to prior years, but some, such as United Healthcare, have expressed their decisions to pull out of many of the individual markets in which they currently write. UPDATE: Oxford/United Healthcare has decided to pull out of all individual OFF EXCHANGE plans as of 1/1/2017. United Healthcare will continue to offer plans via NYSOH on their COMPASS network platform as of 1/1/2017.
