NY has announced new rates and benefits starting 2019 for Paid Family Leave. Starting January 1, 2019 the maximum benefit will increase from 50% to 55% of the employee’s average weekly wage. In addition, benefits will continue for up to 10 weeks of leave, an increase from 8 weeks in 2018.
This increase in benefit and duration will push rates from 0.126% of gross wages to 0.153% in 2019. The maximum contribution cannot exceed $107.97 in a calendar year.
