NY Department of Financial Services has released the requested 2018 Proposed NY Health Insurance Individual Rates for both small groups and individuals for plans renewing in 2018.
While these are not approved rates but just requests, it gives you a sense of where the carrier rates will be going in 2018.
You will notice that individual health insurance rates are expected to once again see a sharp increase in premiums. We also expect some of the other individual insurance carriers to exit the NY market.
